1. Top APC Member Begins Move To Allow Buhari Contest 3rd Term

A top member of the Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Charles Enya, has filed a suit seeking to amend the constitution to allow President Muhammadu Buhari contest for a third term.

Enya, who served as organising secretary to Buhari during the 2019 general election, filed the suit (FHC/AI/CS/90/19) before a federal high court in Abakiliki, Daily Trust reports.

2. Kogi: Former Lawmaker Dumps PDP, May Join APC

A former member of the National Assembly that represented the Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Karimi Sunday Steve has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The former lawmaker who is yet to disclose his new party, is rumoured to be considering joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

3. President Buhari Reacts To Murder Of Kogi PDP Women Leader

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned what he described as the “heinous murder” of a Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women Leader, Mrs Achejuh Abuh.

In a State House statement on Sunday by his media aide, Mr Femi Adesina, Buhari called on security agencies to fish out her killers.

4. Pressure: Senator Removes Death Penalty From Hate Speech Bill

Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi has said the proposed death penalty for anyone found guilty of hate speech that leads to the death of another, will be removed by the Senate.

In a statement on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate said the hate speech bill will undergo some amendment to ensure that the clauses contained in its provisions to be passed into law reflect the views of Nigerians.

5. Kogi: ‘Frustrated’ Dino Melaye Will Lose Again, APC Tells PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday said Senator Dino Melaye and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have already lost the Kogi West supplementary election.

Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, November 30, for the conduct of the Kogi West supplementary rerun election.

6. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Those That Started Hate Speech In Nigeria

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has accused the late Sarduana of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, of originating hate speech in Nigeria.

Recall that in a bid to curb the incidence and defamation of character by some anxious media users in the country, former Senate spokesperson, Sabi Abdullahi had reintroduced the ‘Hate Speech’ Bill at plenary.

7. Aisha Kicks Against President Buhari’s Third Term In Office

The co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign, Aisha Yesufu, has kicked against President Muhammadu Buhari’s third term in office as Nigeria’s President.

Naija News reports that Mrs. Yesufu kicked against the President’s third term in office in a two-minute, twenty seconds video published on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Sunday evening, November 24.

8. Bayelsa/Kogi: Buhari, APC, INEC Working Against Democracy – PDP

President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are against democracy in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said.

In a statement on Sunday signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP said the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Mahmood Yakubu was the “worst electoral umpire” in the political history of Nigeria.

9. Talking About Oshiomhole A Waste Of Time – Ogun APC

The Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Derin Adebiyi, has said talking about the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, was a waste of time.

Naija News recalls that the Derin Adebiyi-led APC executive in Ogun had in 2018 filed a suit to challenge its dissolution by Oshiomhole for alleged anti-party activities.

10. Boxing: Deontay Wilder Beats Luis Ortiz, Retains His WBC Heavyweight Title

Deontay Wilder of the United States retained his WBC heavyweight title, beating Cuba’s Luis Ortiz in the seventh round, to whom he had awarded revenge after a memorable debut on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Twenty months after being scared off Ortiz, who had made him falter at the seventh round of their first clash before finally succumbing to the 10th, Wilder chose the same seventh round to end his opponent, who had yet dominated the first part of the fight.
