A medical doctor of Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, Jerry Isogun, has regained freedom on Thursday around 8 pm from his abductor.

Naija News learnt that an undisclosed sum of money was paid to the criminals to set him free.

A source at the hospital confirmed the development on Friday morning.

According to them, the abductors reportedly dumped him in a bush near Eku in Ethiope East council area of the state.

It was further learnt that the medical doctor is receiving treatment from injuries sustained during the ordeal at DELSUTH.

The Delta state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adeyinka Adeleke, who also confirmed the release, said he was released last night.

Isogun who is president of the Resident Doctors of DELSUTH was reportedly kidnapped late Wednesday on his way home from work.
