1. 2023: Tinubu Fit To Be President – Guru Maharaj Ji

The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has said the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, was fit to be president in 2023.

He made this known on Wednesday while speaking at a news conference held at his Maharaj Ji village.

2. Sagay Confirms Arrest Of former Attorney General, Adoke

The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, has confirmed the arrest of the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke.

Sagay confirmed the arrest during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday, November 20th.

3. EFCC Drags Maina To Court Over Fresh Allegation

Abdulrasheed Maina was on Wednesday arraigned before Justice Abubakar Kutigi of the FCT High Court in Gwagwalada over fresh charges of contract racketeering and stealing.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Maina on nine counts bordering on alleged N738.6m contract scam.

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sent a high powered delegation to resolve the crisis rocking the Edo State chapter of the party.

5. Kogi Rerun: Melaye Storms INEC Office With 21 Video Clips, Demands Cancellation

The recently sacked Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, was at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja, on Wednesday, to demand the cancellation of the November 16 election in the district.

The lawmaker was received by INEC Secretary, Rose Orianran-Anthony and National Commissioner/Chairman of its Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye.

6. Social Media Bill Passes Second Reading In The Senate

The social media bill on Wednesday passed the second reading in the Senate. The bill is expected to restrict cyberspace falsehood against Nigerians if passed into law.

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Musa Mohammed Sani, had proposed the bill in the National Assembly.

7. Lagos Assembly Challenges Court’s Jurisdiction Stopping Ambode’s Probe

The Lagos state house of assembly has reinstated its commitment to investigate the 820 buses procured during the administration of former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

It will be recalled that the former governor approached a Lagos High Court earlier last month seeking to stop the probe of his administration over procurement of 820 buses for public transportation.

8. President Buhari Signs Executive Order 009

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday signed Executive Order 009 to end open defecation in Nigeria by 2025.

The new order signed by Buhari states, “That by this Order, Nigeria is committed to being open defecation-free by 2025.

9. How We Won Bayelsa Governorship Election – APC Replies Dickson

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has countered the claims by Governor Seriake Dickson that it rigged the November 16 governorship election in Bayelsa State.

In its response, the APC attributed the victory of the APC in last Saturday’s election to the failure of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), further accusing it of fielding an unpopular candidate in the person of Senator Douye Diri as its candidate for the polls.

10. Court Sacks Two PDP Lawmakers In Kaduna, Orders Fresh Election

Two members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly were on Tuesday, sacked by the Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna State.

The sacked lawmakers represented Kagarko and Sanga constituencies respectively in the Kaduna state assembly.
