1. INEC Declares Winner Of Kogi Governorship Election, Release Final Results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, declared the final results and winner of the 2019 Kogi governorship election result.

The results were declared by Prof Ibrahim Umar Garba, the INEC returning officer on Monday, 18th November at the collation center in Lokoja, the state capital after results from all local government areas had been received and compiled.

2. Jesus Will Complain About Nigeria’s Situation If He Were To Be Here – Obasanjo

The former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, while speaking on the state of Nigeria, stated that if Jesus Christ were to be in this country at this time, he would complain about the way the country is being run by the people in power.

Obasanjo stated this while speaking at the 64th annual national convention of the Foursquare Gospel Church held at the church campground on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ajebo, Ogun State.

5. Five Killed, Many Injured As Petrol Tanker Crushes Many Vehicles In Kogi

The Felele environs in Lokoja Local Government was thrown into mourning after no fewer than five people were reported dead following an accident which involved a petrol tanker and other vehicles.

The accident which occurred along Lokoja-Okene-Abuja Highway in the early hours of Monday saw many vehicles including Keke Napeps being burnt to ashes as a result of the resulting fire.

6. Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Rises To 11.61%

Naija News understands that the fresh data from the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that the inflation for the month of October has risen by 0.36 basis points year on year to 11.61 percent.

The composite food index rose by 14.09 percent in October compared to 13.51 percent recorded in September due to increases in prices of meat, fish, vegetables, bread and cereals, potatoes, yam and other tubers.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The former Deputy spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, Timi Frank, has called on the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus and the National Working Committee of the party to apologise or resign due to the loss of Bayelsa State during the November 16 election.

Frank stated this while congratulating the Bayelsa State Governor-elect, David Lyon, whose victory he described as deserving.

9. Confusion As Ex-AGF, Adoke Is Arrested, Detained In Dubai

The International Criminal Police Organization has arrested the former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) in Dubai.

Naija News understands that the senior lawyer, who was said to have arrived Dubai on Monday, November 11, for a scheduled medical check-up, was quizzed by the Interpol and then taken into custody following the mix-up.
