Bayelsa: Security Tightened At INEC Headquarters

Security agents have beefed up security at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the Bayelsa State Governorship election is ongoing.

Security operatives from the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Army and Fire Service were seen at the INEC office in Yenagoa, NAN reports.

Major roads leading to the INEC state office on Swali road and within the city centre were condoled off by Police and army personnel in their vehicles.

The security personnel were in position in order to provide security and ensure the public’s compliance with the vehicular movement restriction order issued.
