IGP Withdraws Security Details Of Govs, Deputies Ahead Kogi/Bayelsa Polls

The Inspector-General of Police, Adamu Mohammed has ordered the withdrawal of police security details attached to public office holders participating in the November 16 elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.

Those affected by the order are governors, their deputies, public office holders, politicians and other political actors participating in the election.

Just In: Court Rules On Busola Dakolo’s Rape Case Against Fatoyinbo

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, sitting at Bwari, has dismissed the sexual assault case filed by Busola Dakolo against Pastor Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

Naija News reports that the COZA pastor’s legal team had in an objection filed at the court restated that Busola’s claim were false and concocted.

Appeal Court Clears APC To Contest Bayelsa Governorship Election

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has suspended the judgement of a federal high court which disqualified the Bayelsa All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Saturday’s gubernatorial election.

It will be recalled that a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital on Thursday, disqualified David Lyon, the APC candidate from participating in the November 16 election.

Just In: Kidnappers Free Abducted Appeal Court Judge

Kidnappers have freed Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme of the Benin Division of the Court of Appeal.

Naija News reports that gunmen had last week in Benin City, capital of Edo State, abducted Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme.

Her release was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, Edo Command, Danmallam Mohammed.
