1. PDP Reacts To Bill Proposing Death By Hanging For Hate Speech

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the bill proposing death by hanging for Hate Speech introduced by Senator Sabi Abdullahi.

Recall that in a bid to curb the incidence and defamation of character by some anxious media users in the country, the Nigerian Senate has reintroduced the ‘Hate Speech’ Bill at the plenary sitting of the National Assembly.

2. Laolu Akande Speaks On Osinbajo Praying For Buhari’s Death

Laolu Akande, the Special Adviser to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Media and Publicity, has dismissed some claims by a newspaper columnist, Festus Adebayo, that Osinbajo had of recent went to a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and told members of the church to prayers for the death of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a piece that was published on the Tribune titled “The Trial of Brother Osinbajo”, Adedayo alleged he was told that Osinbajo had led some members of a branch of the RCCG in prayer for the death of Buhari when he was away for treatment.

3. Atiku vs Buhari: Supreme Court Fixes Date To Explain PDP’s Appeal Dismissal

The Supreme Court will on Friday, November 15, 2019, explain the reasons behind its dismissal of the appeal filed by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar challenging the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Naija News reported that the Supreme Court had on October 30, dismissed the case instituted by Atiku and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the 2019 election victory of President Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

4. Edo APC Suspends Gov. Obaseki, Deputy And SSG

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has on Wednesday suspended the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, his deputy governor, Philip Shuaibu and the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie.

Speaking on the approval of the loan, the Senate President, Mr. Ahmed Lawan revealed that it was necessary for the release of the loan request for Kogi state as it has been delayed for too long.
