1.  Hate Speech Bill Scales First Reading At Nigerian Senate

In a bid to curb the incidence and defamation of character by some anxious media users in the country, the Nigerian Senate has reintroduced the ‘Hate Speech’ Bill at the plenary sitting of the National Assembly.

Naija News understands that the bill scaled through the first reading earlier on Tuesday to set up an agency to prohibit hate speeches.

2. DSS Fires Shots During Free Sowore Protest

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday, fired tear gas to disperse protesters who had stormed its office to demand the release of Omoyele Sowore.

The protesters, led by activist Deji Adeyanju had stormed the Abuja office of the secret police to demand the immediate release of Sowore.

3. 2023: APC Leaders Expose, Send Strong Warning To Governor Cabals Are Using Against Osinbajo

Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the United States have alleged that cabals in Aso Rock are using a certain South-West Governor against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

They further alleged the cabals are using the governor to undermine Osinbajo’s position in order to prevent him from contesting the 2023 presidency.

4. Edo APC Suspends National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, has suspended its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

Naija News reports that Oshiomhole, a former Governor of Edo state, was suspended on Tuesday night over his role in the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

5. Northern Youths Insist Buhari Not In Charge Of Govt

The President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), Yerima Shettima has said President Muhammadu Buhari is not in charge of his administration.

Naija News recalls that Buhari had in a statement last week maintained that he was in charge of his government and not his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

6. Edo 2020: Ize-Iyamu Set To Dump PDP For APC

The 2016 former governorship aspirant of the PDP, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has allegedly concluded plans to leave his party and join the APC.

Naija News recalls that the two-time governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ize-Iyamu contested governorship election of the state in 2012 and 2016.

7. Sowore: We Were Given N1m Not To Protest – Adeyanju

The convener of the Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, on Tuesday, noted that some government sympathizers offered the group N1m not hold the protest against the continued detention of Omoyele Sowore.

Adeyanju stated this during the ongoing protest a few miles away from the DSS Headquarters at Aso Drive in Abuja, the country’s capital.

8. Kogi Election: Dino Melaye Releases Names Of 27 PDP Members To Be Arrested By Police

Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West at the Nigerian Senate, has alleged that 27 members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be arrested by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) ahead of the Kogi governorship election.

Naija News reports that the Kogi West lawmaker made this allegation on the micro-blogging site on Monday, November 11.

9. Edo APC Sacks Secretary

The Executive Committee of the Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has removed the State Secretary of the party, Lawrence Okah.

This was made known on Tuesday in a statement signed by the Assistant State Secretary, Ikuenobe Anthony.

10. Kogi Guber: Natasha Akpoti Accuses Yahaya Bello Of Trying To Kill Her

Ahead of the November 16 governorship elections in Kogi State, Natasha Akpoti has accused Governor Yahaya Bello of sending thugs to burn her house in Lokoja.

Akpoti laid the accusation on Monday, stating Governor Bello sent his thugs to her house while she was away campaigning in Idah.
