Kwara Governor Reacts To PDP’s House Of Assembly Victory At Appeal Court

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the candidate of the PDP for House of Assembly in Ilorin South Constituency Hon. Jimoh AbdulRaheem Agboola over the Appeal Court judgment that ordered his swearing-in for the legislative seat.

Speaking on the verdict by the Appellte Court, AbdulRazaq, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, expressed his dissatisfaction with the loss of the seat but accepted the verdict, saying that what has happened is one of the beauties of democracy.

As respecters of the rule of law and decorum, we submit to the position of their Lordships and congratulate our brother from the opposition party.

He also said lessons have been learned on all sides as the development will no doubt enrich our democracy and constitutional development as a country.

Naija News understands that Justice Hamman Barkar Hkawu sacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Abdulazeez Oluwanilo based on the disputed APC’s primaries which produced Alhaji Suleiman Abdulsalam popularly known as Sule Cement but was later replaced with a 28-year-old Abdulazeez Oluwanilo.
