John Legend Becomes 2019 ‘Sexiest Man Alive’
American top songwriter and musician, John Legend has been named as People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ for 2019.
Naija News understands that he was declared the winner of the annual award by Blake Shelton who was given the title in 2017, on Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice” where they are both judges.
There was wild excitement in the crowd after Blake Shelton welcomed the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony-winning musician with his new title.
The ‘All of Me’ singer, John has taken over the title from Idris Elba, as the magazine made its annual announcement of who has been giving them butterflies this year.
John is also one of just 15 people to achieve EGOT (having an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) status, but we reckon this could kick that title to the kerb.
The 40-year-old said: ‘I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure.
However, Chrissy Teigen, the wife of People’s Sexiest Man Alive has reacted to her husband’s latest achievement. According to 33 years, old wife on her twitter handle: ‘her secret is out. I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people’s sexiest man alive!! an honor!!!!! [sic].’
