1. 2023: Falana Accuses Buhari Of Plotting 3rd Term Bid

Constitutional and human rights lawyer Femi Falana has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of secretly plotting a third term bid in 2023.

Naija News reports that some groups have been calling on Buhari to extend his tenure beyond 2023.

2. Fashola Explains Comment On Bad Roads In Nigeria

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, hs said he was misquoted in his comment on the state of federal roads across Nigeria.

3. Air Force Promotes Air Vice Marshals, Other Senior Officers

The Air Force Council (AFC) on Sunday approved the promotion of senior officers to the next higher ranks in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

This was made known in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore, Ibikunle Daramola.

4. NGF Speaks On US Denying Gov Fayemi Visa

The Nigeria Governors Forum has denied reports that Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State was denied visa by the United States of Ameria embassy in Nigeria.

An online platform (not Naija News) had claimed that Fayemi, the Chairman of the NGF, was denied a visa to the US.

5. 2023: Igbo Presidency Not Guaranteed, North Can Run – Gulak

Former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, Ahmed Ali Gulak, has said the call for Igbo presidency is not guaranteed constitutionally.

Speaking to The Sun, Gulak said zoning was not in the constitution of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

6. Akpabio: Ekpenyong Reacts To Defeat At Appeal Court

Senator Chris Ekpenyong has reacted to his defeat at the Court of Appeal by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godwill Akpabio.

Naija News reports that the Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar had nullified the election of Dr Chris Ekpenyong, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ruled in favour of Sen. Godswill Akpabio, a former Senate Minority leader.

7. Buhari: Atiku Replies Presidency, Speaks On Election Loss

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has slammed the presidency for mocking his loss at the Supreme Court.

Naija News reports that President Muhammadu Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina in a statement on Saturday listed some people who “fooled” Atiku into believing he would become president.
