Man And Girlfriend Arrested For Spending Night In Bank Toilet

The Police of Enerhen Divisional Headquarters on Wednesday have arrested a suspected thief and his girlfriend (names unknown) for passing the night inside a Sterling Bank toilet in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the suspects were found inside the bank’s restrooms when staff resumed work for the day.

Naija News learnt that the suspect was discovered by the bank cleaner who was carrying out her duties in the toilet and yet to be confirmed if the suspects stole any money or items from the bank.

As at the time of reporting, details of how the suspects passed through the bank’s security and gained access were still unknown.

According to a bank official (name withheld), the suspects may have entered the bank the previous day with an intention to steal but thanks to God they were caught.

The security operatives investigating the matter had closed off the bank and shut customers and eyewitness from gaining access to the suspects.

The Delta State Police Command is yet to confirm the incident.

The state commissioner, CP Adeyinka Adeleke said, the DPO has been sent to Asaba to investigate and promise to get back to the media when he confirms the incident.
