Edo State Governor,
Godwin Obaseki has started that his administration has done well in areas such as as poverty alleviation and job creation in the past three years in office.
This, Obaseki said at a meeting with All progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Benin.
According to the governor, some policies had been set up by his administration that had positively impacted on Edo people.
He bragged that his administration had created not less than107,000 direct and indirect jobs.
” we have enthroned good governance, made remarkable progress and shall consolidate on our achievements in the remaining year,” he said.
Obaseki further praised the APC member for supporting him and promised to do more.
He said before his government emerged, some local government were not able to pay salaries.
“We also met huge pension arrears, but with your support, we have made remarkable progress,” he said.
He further stated that the state’s internally generated revenue had risen from N1.5 million in December 2016, to N62 million in October 2019.
Obaseki said his administration would continue to create jobs and provide social welfare for the people.
