Wizkid Congratulates Burna Boy

Nigerian hiphop star, Wizkid has congratulated Burna Boy for landing the ‘Best Africa Act’ award at the 2019 MTV EMA.

The prestigious award ceremony held in Seville, Spain on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019, Naija News reports.

Burna Boy fought off competition from Nigeria’s Teni the Entertainer, South Africa’s Prince Kaybee and Nasty C, Harmonize from Tanzania and Togo’s duo TooFan, to emerge winner of the award.

With his emergence as winner, Nigerian musicians have now won the award four times in a row. First it was Wizkid in 2016, followed by Davido in 2017, then Tiwa Savage in 2018.

Burna Boy was, unfortunately, unable to pick up his award personally because he was holding a concert at SSE Arena in Wembley, London.
