Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has noted that it is not possible to end kidnapping in the country as it has now become a business.
This Wike said today while receiving a delegation of Rotary International District 9141 in his office in Port Harcourt.
Wike said the evil practice is seriously affecting the country and unfortunately, it cannot be entirely removed as it has become a business.
“It is now impossible to stop kidnapping in Nigeria. It is now a business. It has been commercialised,” he said.
Wike therefore called on everyone to partner with the government to reduce the occurrences to the barest minimum.
The governor further asked that citizens be mindful of their environment and take measures to secure their themselves and their family from kidnappers.
