Fake SARS Operatives Arrested In Lagos

Two fake operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command.

The suspects were arrested by officers of the command from Ifako Police Division as confirmed by the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana.

He said the arrested suspects claimed to be SARS Operatives on their way to effect an arrest at Bakare Daudu Market. However, on further questioning, they claimed to be members of the Police Community Relations Committee from Victoria Island, Lagos.

Two fake PCRC ID cards were recovered from the suspects.

They have been charged to court and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Home.
