1. Buhari Departs Saudi Arabia For United Kingdom

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Makkah via Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah for the United Kingdom after performing the Lesser Hajj. NAN reports that Buhari left Makkah for Jeddah at about 1.30 pm (local time) while his presidential aircraft took-off for London at exactly 3.05 pm.

2. Bandits: Presidency Sends Strong Warning To Nigerians

The Permanent Secretary, Special Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Dr. Amina Shamaki, has warned Nigerians against attacks from bandits. Speaking at the Federal and States Security Administrator’s Meeting in Jalingo, Shamaki urged security operatives to be proactive in moves to clamp down on bandits.

3. Thugs Attack Obaseki, Oba Akiolu, Others At Oshiomhole’s Residence

Thugs on Saturday attacked the convoy of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu at Iyamoh the country home of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole. The Pro-Chancellor of Edo University, Iyahmo, Prof. T.O.K Audu was also in the convoy.

4. Bayelsa: APC Accuses PDP, Dickson Of Producing Fake PVCs

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of producing fake Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). The APC made this known in a statement on Friday by its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena.

5. Buhari May Join 2023 Presidential Race – Galadima

The National Chairman of Reformed All Progressives Congress (rAPC), Alhaji Buba Galadima, has said President Muhammadu Buhari may run for a third term in 2023. Galadima, now an ally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noted that Nigeria should not be surprised if Buhari contested for the 2023 presidency.

6. 16 Kwara LG Chairmen Arrested Over Misappropriation Of Funds

Sixteen local government chairmen in Kwara state have been picked up by the main anti-graft agency Nigeria for allegedly diverting N4bn Loan for the payment of salaries for personal use. Naija News recalls that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.had earlier suspended these chairmen for six months due to alleged misappropriation of funds to the tune of 33 billion naira.

7. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Slams Justice Nyako, Tells Her To Take Her Family To Prison

The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has replied Justice Binta Nyako over her claims that Kanu could only be safe in the prison. It will be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that the IPOB leader on Thursday, said he was ready to return to Nigeria and face trial if the court could guarantee his safety.

8. Oshiomhole: Why APC Might End With Buhari – Okorocha

Senator Rochas Okorocha (APC-Imo West) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) may lose power after the end of President Muhammadu Buhari‘s tenure in 2023. He made this known in Kano while reacting to the rift between the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Godwin Obaseki.

9. APC’s Jibrin Reacts As Appeal Court Nullifies His Election

Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin (APC-Kiru/Bebeji Kano) has rejected the ruling of the Court of Appeal that nullified his election into the House of Representatives. Naija News reports that the Appeal Court in its ruling cancelled elections held in the two local governments in the constituency on grounds of the mutilation of final results contained in the EC (8)E forms.

10. Gernot Rohr Reacts As Fresh Scandal Rocks Super Eagles

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has denied reports that he made his players sign contracts with a France-based agent known as ‘Mr. William’, in exchange for a place in the team. SportingLife had claimed William is acting as a front for the Super Eagles coach, who usually woos players to sign contracts with his management team, with the aim of getting a mouth-watering commission whenever they change clubs.
