Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the attack on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi State.

Recall that the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, had on Sunday accused some security operatives of invading the venue of IPOB gathering and opening fire on them in Ebonyi.

He added that some members were seriously injured and in critical condition following the incident.

Also in a post on Twitter on Thursday night, the IPOB leader vowed to avenge the lives of members killed in the state.

He wrote: “The brutalization of our people in Ebonyi state will surely be AVENGED.

“This is a formal notice to all, including Miyetti Allah and Dave Umahi that sooner than later, they will account for every injury, torture, and death of every Biafran.

“How, when and where is left for us to determine.”

Reacting in a post on Twitter, Fani-Kayode described torturing and killing of the pro-Biafra activist as evil and barbaric

“The atrocities that were committed against IPOB members in Ebonyi state earlier this week by members of the Nigerian security forces is unacceptable.

“Murdering and brutalising innocent, unarmed and defenseless people, including women and children, is despicable, evil and barbaric,” he wrote.
