… FEC Approves N5.72 Billion For NDIC Offices

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting has approved a total of N5.72 billion for construction and consultancy services for the National Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) offices.

Naija News learnt the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, made this known on Wednesday at the end of FEC meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House, Abuja.

She said that N3.23 billion was approved for the construction of NDIC Zonal office in Bauchi State while N2.49 billion was approved for consultancy services for stage three work on NDIC corporate offices in Abuja and Lagos.

Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, while reacting to the request of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), to convert Arik Air to a national carrier, said Arik Air is not suitable for a national carrier because of its air business plan.

Naija News understands that the nation’s Vice President, ProfessorYemi Osinbajo presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja. at about 11:00 a.m.

Other key stakeholders and cabinet members at the meeting were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, the Acting Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan and the Permanent Secretary in the State House, Jalil Arabi.
