President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his administration will fight against the Boko
Haram insurgents which are threatening the peace of Nigeria.

The Nigerian President stated this during the commissioning of the rebuilt United Nations, building in Abuja, on Thursday.

President Buhari who was represented by Federal Capital Territory, Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, stated that his administration would fight against any form of terrorism in the country.

Recall that the Boko Haram insurgents had in 2011 bombed the UN building in Abuja.

The President while commissioning the UN building said, “Nigeria will not be cowed but will remain resilient in the face of acts of terrorism designed to break our spirit.”

President Buhari noted that the rebuilding and commissioning of the UN office was a demonstration of Nigeria’s commitment to the global fight against terrorism.

He further stated that UN over the years has confronted global issues such as international conflicts, health and humanitarian matters, climate change and environmental degradation, with positive results around the world.
