The Nigerian police force has commenced a full scale investigation into events and circumstances surrounding the illegal rehabilitation center discovered at Idiroko, Gaa-Odota, along the Ilorin International Airport.

According to the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi in achat with Naija News on Friday, the police is presently investigating the matter and the statement of the owner Abdulraheem Owotutu.

Okansanmi revealed that Owotutu said some of the inmates were brought to the center by their parents because of their indulgence in hard drugs and other illegal activities.

Speaking further, Okansanmi confirmed that a total of 108 victims comprising 103 males and 5 females were rescued from the center and are currently camped in a secure police hostel.

He noted that attempts are on-going to connect family and relations of the rescued victims.

According to one of the female victims, Olaide Arikewuyo, she had spent five years in the center and alleged that she had been sexually abused by the uncle of the owner of the facility every night.

Another victim, Abdulazeez Korede, revealed that his parents brought him there because he was a drug addict and they want to stop him from taking hard drug but to his greatest surprise, he was chained and beaten up mercilessly and taken underground where other guys like him were kept.

Here are some pictures of the victims when the center was raided by operatives under the instruction of the Kwara State Commissioner of Police Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.
