Former INEC Boss, Maurice Iwu Re-Arraigned For Fraud

A former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Maurice Iwu has been re-arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for an alleged fraud of N1.23bn.

He, however, pleaded not guilty.

Iwu was then granted bail by Justice Nicholas Oweibo who then adjourned the case till November 25, 2019.

The former INEC Chairman had first been arraigned on August 8, 2019 before vacation judge, Justice Chuka Obiozor.

He pleaded not guilty.

He was re-arraigned again today before Justice Oweibo on the same charge.
