Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with the managerial position at German top club, Borussia Dortmund.
Naija News reports that Mourinho works with Sky Sport as a pundits following his sack by Manchester United in December 2019.
The Portuguese is keen to return to management with plenty clubs linked to him.
Bild reports that Mourinho is in “regular contact” with Dortmund and is even learning German, ahead of a move to the Westfalenstadion.
Current Dortmund boss, Lucian Favre, is not understood to be in any immediate jeopardy.
But the German giants have made an inconsistent start to the campaign and chiefs are looking at the long-term picture.
Bild also reports that the ‘Special One’ is a ‘friend’ of Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, who would be instrumental in luring the trophy-winning Mourinho to the club.
Dortmund, who finished two points behind champions Bayern Munich last season, are fourth in the German league and one point behind league leaders Borussia Monchengladbach.
Favre’s men also face a tough task in the Champions League after being placed in the so-called ‘Group of Death’ alongside Inter Milan, Barcelona and Slavia Praha.
