The minority leader of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to prevail in the issue of alleged illegal impeachment of Kogi State Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba.

Speaking through a statement released in Abuja earlier today, Senator Abaribe condemned the impeachment in the strongest terms and declared that act as reprehensible.

He also describes the act as the deliberate denigration of the country’s constitution even when the report panel set up by the State Chief Justice to investigate him returned a no-guilty verdict.

Naija News had earlier reported that Chief Edward Onoja, the ex-Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello,  was screened by the state lawmakers before swearing him in as the substantive Deputy Governor of the State after Achuba was impeached.
