Ejikeme Mmesoma: JAMB Reveals Why It Involved DSS In Alleged Fake Result

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has revealed that 527,815 admission slots were not utilised by tertiary institutions during the 2018/2019 admission year.

The board noted that 143,338 spaces were not filled in universities, while 52,735 were not utilised in polytechnics.

It further revealed that in the Colleges of Education, there were 319,405 spaces and 12,337 spaces in Innovation Enterprise Institutions.

Recall that board last week announced that it will not register any candidate without the National Identity Number starting with the 2020 examination.

This is coming after the Federal Government revealed that Nigerians will have to pay ₦3,000 through remita for the renewal of National Identity Card and ₦5,000 for replacement of the National Identity Card.
