BREAKING: EFCC Grants Former Gov, Obiano Bail

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has expressed readiness in his administration to implement the payment of minimum wage adjustment.

Naija News understands that the Anambra state Governor made this known while reacting to the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress’ final agreement on the 30,000 minimum wage.

The state Governor said he was committed towards upward adjustment of workers’ salaries in line with provisions of the new minimum wage in Akwa.

The governor made this known while addressing the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), during its 2019 Quadrennial delegates Conference.

According to him: “This will be effected immediately the guidelines for implementation are released.”

Obiano in his statement to the workers, said that minimum wage of N30, 000 had been passed into law but the contentious issue of consequential increment remained unresolved.

He, however, appealed for understanding, calm and sense of discretion by workers.
