Super Eagle striker, Victor Osimhen, after Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Brazil on Sunday, visited his former club Sporting Charleroi.

Osimhen joined the Belgian club from Wolfsburg on a season-long loan deal before the commencement of 2018/2019 season.

The Nigerian international scored 20 goals during his loan spell at Charleroi.

Osimhen’s impressive performance forced his team to activate the buyout clause in his transfer deal but decided to join Lille this summer.

Osimhen while speaking during his visit to Charleroi, commended the club for helping him achieve his dream of becoming a better player.

He pointed to his first 12 minutes of action at the club and how he was supported by the fans.

“So, I think for me to repay them back is for me to give my best and score a lot of goals for them and win games. I thing that was the turning point for the relationship between me and the fans”

“And as you can see today, the way I was received by them was very emotional and I am really happy to be here.”

The Super Eagles striker promise to pay them a visit once in a while whenever he is from because he sees the club as like a second home.

He appreciated the club for giving him the platform to showcase his talent and make him the kind of player he wanted to be.

Osimhen has scored eight goals from 11 matches in all competitions for Lille this season already.
