The South-East Governor’s Forum has resolved to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari over concerns of the welfare of the people in the region.

This was made known by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State after a meeting of the Governors in Enugu.

Umahi, who doubles as the chairman of the forum, refused to disclose to newsmen what the South-East governors intend to tell President Buhari.

“We resolved that we are going to meet the president over the welfare of our people. When we come back we will tell you the details of the meeting,” Umahi said.

The governors of Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu and the deputy governor of Imo attended the meeting, NAN reports.

Also in attendance were the leader of the Southeast National Assembly Caucus, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, and some prominent religious leaders in the zone.
