Ogun: Truck Crushes Woman On Okada To Death

The Federal Road Safety Corps, on Sunday, revealed that a truck with registration number XC 791 LSP, killed a woman in an accident at Toll Gate, Sango Ota area of Ogun State.

The Sango-Ota Unit Commander of FRSC, Akeem Ganiyu, while speaking with journalist noted that the accident happened on Sunday.

Ganiyu, while speaking on the incident revealed that the truck which was driving towards Lagos from Abeokuta lost control due to brake failure and rammed into two vehicles and a commercial motorcycle.

The FRSC commander noted that two males and a female were involved in the accident.

He further stated that the accident led to the death of the female passenger on the motorcycle while those in the vehicles escaped unhurt.

“The corpse of the victim was later taken to the mortuary of the General Hospital, Ifo in Ogun,” he said.

The Unit commander charged motorists to ensure that their vehicles are in good shape before setting out for a ride.

Ganiyu also cautioned against overspeeding, adding that commercial motorcyclists should always use their helmets to prevent head injuries in the event of crashes.
