IPOB’s Nnamdi Kanu Berates Buhari For Congratulating Ethiopian PM

Stop Killing, Kidnapping Igbos, Nnamdi Kanu Tells Buhari

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for congratulating Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, on winning the 2019 Nobel Prize award.

Naija News reports that Buhari had congratulated Abiy Ahmed for making history when he was awarded the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize.

Born 15th August, 1976, the 43-year old Ali is the chairman of both the ruling EPRDF and the ODP in his country.

Announcing the prize in Oslo, the Norwegian Nobel Committee said Abiy’s “efforts deserve recognition and need encouragement.”

Ahmed is credited with ending his country’s about twenty-years of war with Eritrea.

Reacting in a post on his Twitter page on Saturday, Nnamdi Kanu disclosed that the Ethiopian Prime Minister got the award for his role in the referendum that split Ethiopia and Eritrea.

He wrote: “Jubril-Buhari’s CONGRATULATIONS to Ethiopian PM (Ahmed) for winning the #NobelPeacePrize for “his work to end the conflict between Ethiopia & Eritrea” is a CONTRADICTION, because major reason for the Prize was Ahmed’s key ROLE in the #Referendum that SPLIT Eritrea from Ethiopia.”
