1. Buhari, Jonathan Hold Closed-Door Meeting In Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, held a closed-door meeting with the immediate past President of the country, Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa.

Naija News reports that Jonathan, who conceded defeat to Buhari in the 2015 Presidential election, arrived at the forecourt of the State House around 2.58 pm.

2. Ex-Boko Haram Spokesman Sues Nigerian Government For N500m

A N500 million aggravated suit filed by a former spokesperson of Boko Haram, Ali Konduga has been struck out by an FCT High Court, Maitama on Thursday.

The suit, dated October 7 and filed on October 8 was struck out following an appeal by Mr Konduga’s counsel, Mohammed Tola to discontinue the case.

3. Sowore Appeals To Federal Government Over N150 Million Bail Condition

The convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore has pleaded with the federal government and the high court over bail conditions attached to his release granted to him last week.

Naija News recalls that Sowore and his co-defendant Olawale Bakare, who were charged with treasonable felony were granted bail in a ruling last Friday by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has stated the reason behind its decision to raid the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Zamfara State where four Ghana must-go bags filled with money were discovered.

According to report, the commission raided the electoral office and took away four Ghana-must-go bags containing the sum of #65,548,000 in continuation of its investigation over alleged non-payment of ad hoc staff who conducted the 2019 general election.

10. Atiku vs Buhari: CUPP Alleges Plan To Pick ‘Special Justices’ To Hear Supreme Court Case

The Coalition of United Political Partes, (CUPP) has alleged fresh plans by the federal government to hand pick Justices to hear the 2019 presidential election dispute.

CUPP says the move is contrary to the age-long tradition of selecting the 7 most senior Justices as members of the Presidential Election Petition Appeal.
