Is The Celebration Video Circulating Sadiya Umar Farouq’s Pre-wedding?

Naija News can confidently report that a video been circulated on social media purportedly of the pre-wedding ceremony of Sadiya Umar Farouq, minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development is false.

The said video was recorded on September 14 when Farouq’s family and friends held a party to celebrate her appointment which was weeks after she was commissioned.

Fact check by Naija News reveals that she had tweeted about the event on September 15.

“Yesterday, I attended a walimah organised by my family and friends to congratulate me on my appointment as a honourable minister by President Muhammadu Buhari,” she tweeted.
