Aisha Buhari Breaks Silence Amidst Sadiya Farouq’s Alleged Marriage To President
Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady, and wife to President Muhammadu Buhari has finally made a statement for the first time since the rumour of her husband getting a second wife.
Naija News reports that social media has been awash with speculations that President Buhari is set to marry a second wife, whose name is Sadiya Farouq, a Nigerian minister.
A report monitored on PointBlankNews by Naija News, quoted sources in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa, to have revealed that President Buhari is planning to marry the minister
The report quoted a source who spoke on condition of anonymity that Ms. Farouk is a close friend of President Buhari and also well-loved by the ‘cabals’ in the President’s “Next Level” government.
However, speaking for the first time since the rumour emerged, Mrs. Buhari kept mum on the marriage rumour but rather called for urgent action to protect the girl child from abuses.
In a series of tweets on Friday commemorate the International Day of the Girl-Child in Abuja, the First Lady, maintained that the need for parents to protect their children from all forms of violence and abuse.
