Gabon Coup Patriotic, Let The Military Restore True Democracy - Shehu Sani Tells AU, UN

Human Right activist, Shehu Sani, has attacked President Muhammadu Buhari for claiming that some of the statistics published by World Bank on Nigeria are wrong.

President Buhari had accused the World Bank and other international bodies of collating data that his wild estimated and inaccurate.

He further stated that the local institutions are better in the collation of records than foreign agencies.

The President while speaking during a meeting with the recently-constituted economic council, warned Nigerians to be wary of some statistics from world bodies.

He had said: “Today, most of the statistics quoted about Nigeria are developed abroad by the World Bank, IMF and other foreign bodies.”

“Some of these statistics are wild estimates that bear little relation to the facts on the ground”

The former Senator representing Kaduna Centre while reacting to the President’s statement condemned the government for dismissing the assessment of World Bank despite demanding for money from them.

Shehu Sani took to his Twitter account and wrote, “You want World Bank money, you don’t want World Bank assessment.”
