Just In: Gunmen Abduct 4, Kill 1 In Kaduna

Unknown gunmen have killed one person and abducted four others at Angwan Barau in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

It was gathered that the bandits arrived in the area shooting sporadically into the air, with residents fleeing in panic.

A resident who did not give his name because of security concerns told Daily Post that one person was killed, while four persons, including the wife of the pastor of Godiya Baptist Church in the community, were taken away by the kidnappers.

He, however, did not say how the person was killed by the gunmen.

The resident gave the names of those abducted as Mrs. Jummai Ido, the wife of the Pastor of Godiya Baptist Church, Angwan Barau Udawa, Mr. Luka Auta, Mr. Sale Auta and Mr. Yakubu Audu, while Mr. Ezra Haruna was killed.

Naija News reports that this is coming barely a week after gunmen kidnapped eight people comprising six female students and two teachers in Kaduna State.

This online platform gathered the gunmen, entered the school through a broken fence and headed for the female hostel, where six students were abducted.

The gunmen during the early morning raid, also kidnapped two teachers said to be residing inside the school compound.
