2023 Presidency: Osinbajo Storms Ibadan For Consultations

Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President has today left the country for Oslo, Norway to attend the Nordic-Africa Business Summit.

Naija News understands that the trip is in pursuance of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP.

The summit started today at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg is expected to run till Wednesday.

Through a statement by his media Aide, Laolu Akande, who noted that the Vice President had earlier this afternoon presided over an  Extraordinary Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting at the Presidential Villa, left Abuja immediately and is expected to return by Thursday.

The statement acknowleged that the Vice president would be honouring the invitation sent by Norway’s prime minister in In pursuit of the Buhari administration’s Economic Recovery and Growth Plan, ERGP.

It further noted that the invigitation is a long standing one  which begins on Monday to end by Wednessday, while explaining that that the event would address prominence to trade and investment ties between Africa and the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The statement said the largest Nordic companies doing business or are interested in doing business in Nigeria, in areas such as agriculture, light manufacturing, transportation, digital technology and entertainment, oil and gas, and renewable energy. would be present at the event.
