Fintiri Reacts To Killing Of Fulani Leader

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has condemned the killing of the Chairman of Tabital Pulaaku, a Fulani socio-cultural group in the state, Alhjaji Abdu Balli.

Naija News reports that the Fulani leader was on Tuesdya killed by gunmen at his Yola residence.

In a statement on Wednesday by his media aide, Solomon Kumangar, the governor expressed sadness over the killing.

Fintiri also condemned the killing of Ishaya Dauda, the Muchalla Ward Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Mubi North Local Government area.

He directed the Adamawa State Police Command to apprehend the killers and bring them to justice.

Confirming the incidents, the Spokesman of Adamawa Police Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya said Alhaji Abdu Balli was killed along with one of his visitors.

DSP Yahaya said that investigations had commenced on the incidents.

He also urged members of the public to support the police with relevant information so as to track down the killers.
