President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after his engagements at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA74), in New York.

Naija News had earlier reported that the President’s aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, posted pictures of Buhari’s arrival on his Twitter handle.

According to NAN, the President was expected to return to Abuja on Sunday morning at about 7.00 a.m.

A further report has it that the president’s decision to return was triggered by the fact that he was able to complete all his official engagements in time.

President Buhari had travelled to New York on Sept 22 to participate in the main and High Side Events of the UNGA74.

The official engagement of Buhari at the UNGA74 was on Monday in New York where he addressed the United Nations Climate Action Summit with the theme, “A Race We Can Win. A Race We Must Win.”

Recall that the President when asked about his plans for the future of Nigeria’s young population, had shocked many when he responded with a prepared speech about climate change.
