A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has hailed the decision of the Federal High Court to free the convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.
Naija News reports that the court presiding over the case of Sahara Reporters’ publisher, Sowore, on Tuesday granted him bail.
Recalls that Sowore was earlier arraigned before the court over alleged treason case that is not unconnected to the planned ‘RevolutionNow’ protest.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, Shehu Sani described the judgement as a welcome development.
He wrote: “The Court order for the release of Yele Sowore is a welcome development.
“The balls of the Judge is commendable and appreciated. When the law guides a nation, it will always sail in honour.”
