PDP Dares FG To Probe Osinbajo Over N90billion Fraud Allegation

A thorough investigation has been called for by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the alleged fraudulent collection of N90 billion from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in which names of key personalities in the presidency has been mentioned.

PDP dared Buhari not to hide the truth which is described as “humongous corruption involving highly placed officers in this administration, as it had done in the past.”

Breaking: Boko Haram Kills Aid Worker In Borno, Threatens To Kill More

Information made available to Naija News on Wednesday has it that Boko Haram terrorists have killed one of the abducted aid workers in Borno State.

It was gathered that the insurgents also threatened to execute other aid workers in its custody citing deception from the government as their reason.

The execution was carried out by the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP), a splinter of Boko Haram which has been growing in power and influence in north-eastern Nigeria.

Osinbajo vs Buhari: Senate Speaks On ‘Rift’ In Presidency

The Nigeria Senate has stated that it was not bothered over the alleged rift between President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo.

Speaking to newsmen after plenary on Tuesday, the Senate spokesperson Adedayo Adeyeye, said he was not aware that any roles assigned to the Vice President had been withdrawn. He noted that it was the constitutional responsibility of President Buhari to assign any role to any member of the executive.

Breaking: Gov. Oyetola Send List Of Commissioners To State Assembly (Full List)

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State on Tuesday forwarded the list of his commissioners to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.

The list was submitted to the lawmakers in the Assembly by the Secretary to the State Government Prince Wole Oyebamiji, as Naija News reports Governor Oyetola is currently out of the country as part of the President’s entourage to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The list is expected to be read on the floor of the assembly today (Tuesday).

Bayelsa Guber: Dickson Describes APC As A “Toothless Bulldog”

The Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has described the All Progressives Congress as a “toothless bulldog” that lacks the capacity to win any free and fair election in the state.

The Governor in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Fidelis Soriwei, stated this while addressing a meeting of the Governorship Campaign Advisory Council of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party held on Sunday night in Yenagoa.

He accused the opposition party of using thuggery, ballot stuffing, hijacking of electoral materials and political violence as strategies for winning elections in the state.

A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has hailed the decision of the Federal High Court to free the convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.

Naija News reports that the court presiding over the case of Sahara Reporters’ publisher, Sowore, on Tuesday granted him bail.
