Arsenal manager Unai Emery has said defender Hector Bellerin will not play against Manchester United in this weekend English Premier League (EPL) fixture.
Bellerin, out since January with a knee injury, made a return to the first team in Arsenal’s 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest in the League Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Spaniard was introduced in the 77th minute as a replacement for debutant Kieran Tierney.
Speaking to reporters after the Carabao Cup clash, Unai Emery said: “He wanted to play 90. He said I’m ready and wanted to play.
“I think no [he won’t be ready to start against Manchester United]. Maybe in his mind yes. We need to listen to the doctor.
“The first minutes were amazing for him…The most important for him is his attitude. He wants to help us.”
