Ronaldo Reacts To FIFA Best Player Award Snub
Juventus and Portuguese star striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, on Monday appeared to have sent a cryptic message after Lionel Messi beat him to the FIFA best player award.
Ronaldo took to his Instagram page to post the picture and some words almost immediately after the show held in Milan, Italy ended on Monday night.
Recall Naija News earlier reported that Barcelona and Argentina forward, Lionel Messi got the FIFA Best Player award on Monday night ahead of Ronaldo and Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk.
Afterwards, Ronaldo who missed the event posted:
“Patience and persistence are two characteristics that differentiate the professional from the amateur,” the 34-year-old wrote on Instagram.
“Everything that is big today has started small. You can’t do everything, but do everything you can to make your dreams come true. And keep in mind that after night always comes dawn. LR.”
