The House of Representatives leadership has expressed its disappointment over the absence of some of the Nation’s Service Chiefs at a crucial meeting scheduled to address the security situation in the country.

Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, House of Representatives who presided over the meeting, expressed worry over the situation while promising President Muhammadu Buhari that some of the nagging issues would be addressed and called for the need to ensure synergy between the Executive and Legislature.

The Speaker who expressed his disappointment at the decision of the Service Chief who sent the Director, Account Department to the meeting, however, commended the Inspector General of Police, Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service and Director General of State Security Service for attending the meeting.

Hon. Gbajabiamila adjourned the meeting to Monday, by 10:00 am.
