Two Die As Commercial Bus Plunges Into Osun River

No fewer than two persons have died while an undisclosed number of persons sustained injuries after a commercial vehicle lost control and plunged into a river in Osun state.

Naija News understands that the accident comes in few days after flood swept away properties worth millions in Osogbo, the capital of Osun, as a result of the continuous downpour being recorded in the state.

While speaking on the report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state was quoted via an online report that the accident occurred in Oke-Gada, Ede on Monday, September 16th.

Eyewitness reports revealed that the incident happened around 7pm.

The cause of the accident could be attributed to the bad state of the road as the driver according to witnesses, accidentally plunged his commercial car in into the river while trying to avoid a pothole on the bridge.

The eyewitnesses report revealed that the surviving passengers have since been rushed to a private hospital in the area.
