Rohr Speaks On Quitting As Super Eagles Coach

Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has disclosed that he wants Nigeria to take on an African opponent in their next friendly.

Naija News reports that the Super Eagles played out a 2-2 draw against Ukraine in a recent friendly.

Nigeria is set to take on Benin Republic and Lesotho in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers fixtures later this year.

Speaking to the Super Eagles Media Team, Rohr said: “I saw the other teams playing two games, Benin played two games, they won against Ivory Coast, they lost 1-0 in Algeria on penalty.

“We only had one game, I hope that we can have two games in October to prepare well for the qualifiers against this very good Benin team, who were one of the surprises at the AFCON eliminating Morocco, don’t forget, it won’t be easy to beat them.

“But now we have found a good young team again with four new players. They are all doing very well”.
