Oyo Guber: APC Speaks On Next Line Of Action Over Gov. Makinde’s Victory At Tribunal

The Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, on Monday, stated that it received the judgement of the state governorship elections petition tribunal with disappointment.

The secretary of the party, Dr Azeez Olatunde, stated this while speaking on the development in Ibadan, on Monday.

Olatunde claimed that the Party’s State Working Committee would refer the ruling to its legal team for necessary recommendations.

Recall that the three-member tribunal led by Justice Muhammed Sirajo had in their unanimous judgment dismissed the petition filed by the governorship candidate of APC, Adebayo Adelabu, in the governorship election for lack of merit.

The APC Governorship candidate had filed a suit against Governor Seyi Makinde, challenging his victory at the polls.

“The State Working Committee of the Party in its proactive manner has decided to refer the tribunal ruling to our team of legal experts for necessary recommendations which the party hopes to follow appropriately”.

He called on members of the party to be law-abiding and urged them to await the party’s next line of action in due course.
