1. Tribunal Delivers Final Judgment On Dapo Abiodun’s Election

The election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has been affirmed by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal led by Justice Yusuf Halilu. Naija News reports that Justice Halilu in the ruling declared that the petitioner, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) “did not only failed but also irredeemably failed to prove” his case against Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress(APC).

2. Atunwa vs AbdulRazaq: Tribunal Sets Date To Rule On Kwara Guber Poll

The Kwara State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has set Friday, September 20, 2019, to deliver judgment in the petition filed by Rasak Atunwa, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, challenging the election of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. Naija News understands that the PDP candidate in the 2019 governorship election is challenging AbdulRazaq’s election at the tribunal on the grounds that the governor presented a forged secondary school certificate and was therefore not qualified to run for the governorship – a claim AbdulRazaq insists is unfounded.

3. Gov Ihedioha Of Imo State Wins At Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of Governor Emeka Ihedioha in the case instituted against him on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate. Samuel Nnaemeke Anyanwu had gone to court to challenge Ihedioha’s emergence as the PDP candidate in Imo State during the last governorship election.

4. Gov. Wike Wins At Supreme Court Over Certificate Scandal

The suit filed against the eligibility of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, to run the in last governorship election has been struck out by the Supreme Court. A five-man panel of the Supreme Court upheld two appeals by Wike, with which he challenged the leave granted to Elvis Chinda by the Court of Appeal.

5. Adeleke vs Oyetola: Supreme Court Delivers Final Judgment On Osun Governorship Election

The Supreme Court has on Friday, delivered its final judgment in favour of Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The apex court in its ruling dismissed the appeal by candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last governorship election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
