Xenophobia: FG Fixes Date To Evacuate 319 From South Africa

Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of one of the foremost airline based in Nigeria and operating international flights across countries, Air Peace, burst into tears when he received Nigerians from South Africa.

Naija News reports that Allen Onyema upon receiving the Nigerians who escaped been lynched to death in the Xenophobic attacks in South Africa; plunged into an emotional mood and went ahead to express his emotions over the ill-treatment Nigerians suffered in the hands of their persecutors in South Africa.

In a video obtained by Naija News, the Air Peace boss who boarded his Airline’s aircraft used in conveying the Nigerians back home, embraced the returnees with warm hugs while the returnees appreciated him for his efforts that helped them escaped death.

While appreciating Onyema, the returnees chanted songs of victory while the tears rolled down the cheeks of the Airline’s boss who couldn’t withhold his tears.

This comes after Naija News had reported that Air Peace offered free flights to Nigerians willing to return from South Africa over the xenophobic attacks in the country.

Recall that Ferdinand Nwonye, the spokesman of the ministry of foreign affairs, had announced this in a statement where he maintained that Air Peace volunteered to send an aircraft from Friday to evacuate Nigerians who wish to return to Nigeria “free of charge.”

“The general public is hereby advised to inform their relatives in South Africa to take advantage of this laudable gesture,” the statement read.
