Nnamdi Kanu Heads To United Nations Over Biafra Referendum

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has revealed that he would be heading to the United Nations to present Biafra agitation before the UN.

Naija News reports that the IPOB leader made this known to members of his group and Biafra hopefuls on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Wednesday, September 11.

Kanu who recently visited the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, stressed that the quest to restore “Biafra is unstoppable.”

Naija News reports that Kanu also thanked MEP Sebb Dance, his colleagues and hardcore Biafrans that made his visit to the European Parliament memorable, noting that “IPOB family worldwide are thankful.”

Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has given reasons for congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari over his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal yesterday.

Wike said he congratulated the president because he isn’t a hypocrite like other Governors while adding that it is better to offer public congratulations than visit the President at night.

According to Governor Wike, unlike some Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors who visit President Muhammadu Buhari at night, he made his declaration public because it came from the heart.

Nigeria’s Government Approves $5.3bn For Ibadan-Kano Rail Project

The construction of the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano standard gauge rail line project has been approved by the Nigerian government.

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed this on Thursday at the third Maritime Stakeholders Interactive Forum.

He said: “Just yesterday, we got approval to complete the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano rail project. “We have also applied for funding to commence coastal rail for the Port Harcourt to Warri segment.

Ameachi also revealed that the Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki, would be in charge of all maritime agencies, while he (Amaechi) would focus on the railway sector.

Army General Threatens Ikeja Electric Staff With Gun, Machete (Video)

An Army General (Rtd) was on Thursday caught on camera allegedly threatening employees of Ikeja Electric (IE) with a pistol and a machete. Naija News gathered that the IE staff, who visited the retired Army General’s residence on Fatai Animashaun Street, Magodo, were on routine duty.

The IE employees were in Magodo Estate to re-certify and seal prepaid meters in order to prevent the tampering of meters and ultimately, energy theft.

The Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, has ruled that the National Assembly lacks the constitutional power to direct Governor Godwin Obaseki to issue a fresh proclamation to the Edo State House of Assembly.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has faulted the judgment of the tribunal on the 2019 presidential election involving President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
