1. Tribunal Sacks APC House Of Reps Member, Orders PDP To Take Over

The National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Calabar, on Wednesday sacked Mr. Alex Egbonna of the All Progressive Congress (APC) representing Abi/Yakurr Federal Constituency of Cross River. In nullifying Egbonna’s election, the tribunal also upheld the petition filed by Mr. John- Gaul Lebo, who contested for the constituency seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

2. Tribunal Sacks PDP House Of Rep Member

The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo, Osun State, has nullified the election of Bamidele Salam, representing Ede Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Naija News reports that Salam, who represents Ede Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, was sacked by the tribunal on Monday, September 2.

3. Kano Tribunal Sacks Ex-Interior Minister’s Son As Reps

Kano State Election Tribunal has removed the son of the former minister of interior, Shamsudeen Dambazau as the member representing Sumaila/Takai federal constituency of Kano in the lower chamber of the national assembly. According to the ruling on Friday, the three-man panel led by Onyekan Abdullahi ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a certificate of return to Surajo Kanawa, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election.

4. Tribunal: Court Affirms Senator Elisha Abbo’s Election

The election of Senator Elisha Abbo for Adamawa North Senatorial District has been affirmed by the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal for Adamawa State. The Tribunal gave the ruling stating that the petitioners lack the ability to prove their case.

5. Tribunal Sacks APGA Reps Member, Orders Replacement

The election of David Ogewu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance has been nullified by the National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Makurdi. The Tribunal also declared Samson Okwu of the Peoples Democratic Party as the winner of the Obi/Oju Federal Constituency election.

6. INEC Speaks On Calling Witnesses Against APC At Tribunal

Sylva Ogwemoh (SAN), the counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, says the commission did not find it necessary to call witnesses. Naija News reports that the INEC counsel made this comment while speaking to reporters shortly after adjournment on Tuesday, August 27.

7. Abia Election Tribunal: APC, PDP Lose In Court

The election of Mr. Ossy Prestige of the All Progressives Grand Alliance as the elected representative for Abia North/South Federal Constituency has been upheld by the National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia. According to the report, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uzor Azubuike, and Mascot Uzor-Kalu of the All Progressives Congress had approached the tribunal to nullify the election of Prestige.

8. Tribunal Nullifies Dino Melaye’s Election

The Kogi State National Assembly/State Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has nullified the election of Senator Dino Melaye. Naija News reports that the tribunal nullified Senator Melaye’s election on Friday morning, August 23.
